Nuwara Eliya
Nature Tourism & Biodiversity Conservation
Nestled in Sri Lanka's central highlands, Nuwara Eliya is a landscape of cloud forests, tea gardens, and unique wildlife. Work here focuses on building nature-based tourism, conserving endemic species, and engaging local communities and schools in environmental stewardship.
Frog Watching Tourism
Nature-Based Eco-Tourism
Introduced one of the region's unique biodiversity-based tourism experiences focused on amphibian conservation. Designed guided frog-watching excursions that educated guests on endemic and threatened frog species, wetland ecosystems, habitat conservation, and the ecological importance of amphibians as environmental indicators.

Man-Made Wetland Development
Constructed Wetland Ecosystem
Led the planning, design, and implementation of constructed wetland ponds to restore degraded habitats and improve local biodiversity. The project enhanced stormwater management, created breeding habitats for amphibians, dragonflies, aquatic plants, and birds, while serving as a living demonstration site for ecological restoration and environmental education.

Nature-Based Tourism Programs
Experiential Eco-Tourism Design
Curated and managed a range of sustainable nature experiences that promoted responsible tourism while minimizing environmental impacts. Programs included guided visits to Horton Plains National Park, bird watching, dragonfly observation, cycling through scenic landscapes, waterfall trekking, nature interpretation walks, and biodiversity discovery sessions, enriching guest experiences while fostering conservation awareness.

Guest Awareness on Tea Culture
Cultural & Agricultural Heritage
Developed immersive guest engagement programs showcasing Sri Lanka's tea heritage while highlighting sustainable tea cultivation practices, biodiversity conservation within tea landscapes, responsible tourism, and the social and environmental value of ethical tea production. The program enhanced guest appreciation of local culture and sustainability initiatives.

School Awareness -Parisara Hapannu
Environmental Education for Youth
Designed and delivered the Parisara Hapannu environmental education program for school communities, promoting biodiversity conservation, climate change awareness, energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and responsible environmental stewardship through interactive workshops, nature-based learning activities, and awareness campaigns.

Biodiversity Awareness -Victoria Park & Lover's Leap
Visitor Interpretation & Ecological Education
Developed and installed educational interpretation boards at Victoria Park and Lover's Leap Waterfall to enhance visitor understanding of local flora, fauna, ecosystem services, conservation challenges, and responsible visitor behaviour. The initiative improved environmental interpretation and encouraged sustainable tourism practices.
